Bloxwich Standard Product: Floor Spacer
Supplied in: 2mm thick pre galv sheet
Use: Shipping container floor spacer, typically fitted longitudinally in the floor, on top of the cross bearers (perpendicular) on any size of dry goods container to better support the inner edges of floor sheets and provide an area for screwing the floor sheets too in the centre of the container. Provides greater strength than the standard FB 50 x 3 which is also commonly used. Depending on the design some floor sheet edges can require chamfering or routering to fit on/round floor spacers.
Can also be used to facilitate floor repairs, where damaged floor sections are removed and replaced with the addition of a floor spacer to provide strength if the join is not over an existing floor member or flat bar floor spacer.
